Prof Dr Irfanullah Khan is a well-established professor and Head of Department of Management Studies. He did MA (English), MBA (Marketing), Ph.D. (Management) and also qualified UGC-NET in Management. He has a vast experience of 29+ years in administration and academics. He has served the Indian Air Force for twenty years in different technical and administrative capacities working extensively in maintenance & operations on airborne armament warfare system, ground defence weapons and also undertook training of Bomb Disposal Squad.

Since 2014, he has been actively involved in academics and research in the area of Marketing and Brand Management.

About the Department

The Department of Management Studies conveys the best quality Education and Training to students for shaping their careers for sustainable corporate world after completing three-year professional undergraduate course in Bachelor of Business Administration. It aims to provide academically efficient and professionally relevant Teaching in the areas of Managing Expertise. Along with Academic Knowledge, B.B.A department also trains for potential candidates to face the challenges in life and their career by providing many value added Programs to enhance their expertise.

Our goal is to impart value based education along with the development of positive attitude, better communication skills and abilities through Training programs, Club Activities, Cultural & Sports Activities and proficiency of preparing Business Plan, raising of funds, becoming entrepreneur to apply knowledge in order to meet the challenges of future.

HOD

The department currently runs BBA program of three years affiliated to J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA (Formerly YMCA UST) in two specializations – General and Digital Marketing. The management department provides a blend of theoretical and practical knowledge that match well with the short term & long term requirements of the industry. The department has experienced and young full-time core Faculty in all functional areas of management, who are engaged in teaching, research and outreach activities.
The department also has many Visiting Faculty from premium Business School and Guest Faculty from the industry who add value to our programs. The expertise of Faculty is the main strength of the department that facilitated us to have a distinctive national professional standing. The department offers its Faculty opportunities for research, consultancy, academic independence and freedom to explore new expertise. The department has a strong tri-mentoring system (Parents, Student and Institute) which aims to develop managers and entrepreneurs who contribute to the nation’s agenda of growth and command respect in society.
Our department provides excellent environment to the students to hone up various management skills and has a continuous process of interaction with corporate, industry leaders through workshops, seminars, lectures and other extracurricular events. The department has been able to attract leading firms in large number to take part in the campus recruitment. Today, our alumni serve at the different leadership positions in the various private, public, multinational, government and non-profit organizations.

Lab Facilities

It is a general observation that students at the entry level of undergraduate programs and especially belonging to the rural India are shy in using computers and often feel hesitant in its operation. On the contrary, the technical skills of an engineer clearly put forth the need to have a sound knowledge of application of computer and its different software to solve problems of vivid nature. To provide practical exposure and on-hand working environment to such students, the college has over 650 computer workstations made available in several air conditioned laboratories of the college building. They are fully networked with branded (IBM, HP, Compaq) i3, i5 & i7 systems and servers. High internet speed of 100 Mbps, broadband internet connectivity has been provided in main computer center with at least one faculty and technical staff to guide them.

In some colleges, this course is offered for one year as it is tough to get admission to IIM and XLRI. Therefore, students can go to PGDM courses offered by mid-level MBA colleges. The advantage of attempting PO exams is that there is no limit to the number of trials you give. However, the age limit is set to 28 years.
