Prof. Amarjit Singh Chaggar joined Echelon Institute in Feb 2014 as a Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department.

Prior to this, he had served as Dean (Academics) in two institutes. He graduated from PEC, Chandigarh and did masters in Machine Design from IIT Delhi.

He is also a graduate member of Aeronautical Society of India and did his masters in Air Armament from Pune University.

In addition, he has done MDBA from Symbiosis, Pune. He has a very rich and varied experience that spans over four decades.

He sought premature retirement from the rank of Group Captain after serving in the Indian Air Force for 26 years.

He is a recipient of the prestigious Presidential award, Vishisht Seva Medal. He has undergone various technical and management courses; attended seminars and conferences and also presented papers.

He possesses a unique blend of industrial and academic experience and has the rare distinction of teaching for 24 years (both at undergraduate as well as at postgraduate level) a wide range of subjects in the fields of Management, Aeronautical Engineering, Aircraft Systems & Maintenance, Armament, Mechanical and Automobile Engineering, both in India and abroad.
