Dr. Veer Singh joined Echelon Institute of Technology, Faridabad in July’2013 as a Professor & Head of the Department of Applied Sciences (Physics &Chemistry). He has a rich experience of 27 years in the field of teaching & research. He finished his M.Sc. in Physics from Institute of Advanced Studies, Meerut University Campus, Meerut, and Ph.D. from IIT Delhi. He was awarded GATE scholarship by Government of India for his doctoral work in the Asia’s largest Thin Film Laboratory at IIT Delhi. Prior to joining our Institute, he was involved in research and teaching in various reputed institutions.
Dr. Veer Singh has worked in many leading laboratories of India for several years and has wide exposure in working with various experimental techniques like High Resolution Optical Microscope, Scanning Electron Microscope, Scanning Tunneling Microscope, AC- susceptometer, Close Cycle Liquid Helium Cryostat, X-ray diffractometer, Screen Printer, Spray Pyrolysis Fume hood Chamber for solar cell thin film deposition and various Vacuum Pumps. He has been involved in various projects at IIT Delhi as a Project Associate and Project Scientist. He has grown & studied Largest Single Crystals of HTSC-YBCO superconductor for the first time in India. His areas of interest are Super Conductivity, Thin Films, Thick Films, Growth of Single Crystals, Characterization of Materials and Nanotechnology. He is a life member of ISTE and Semiconductor Society of India.
